The Registration in Person and issue of Hall Tickets at the Co-ordinating Centres viz. Coimbatore, Chidambaram, Dindigul, Erode, Karaikudi, Madurai, Nagercoil, Salem, Thanjavur, Tirunelveli, Tiruchirappalli, Vellore, Villupuram, Virudhunagar is extended till 22.02.2014 and in Chennai upto 24.02.2014 including 23.02.2014 (Sunday)
About Tamilnadu Common Entrance Exam (TANCET 2014)
Applications are invited for Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2014 to be conducted by Anna University, Chennai on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu from candidates who seek admission to 1. M.B.A., 2. M.C.A. and 3. M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch. / M.Plan. Degree Programmes for the year 2014 — 2015 offered at University Departments, University Colleges of Engineering, Regional Centres of Anna University, Government and Government Aided Engineering Colleges and Arts & Science Colleges and Self-financing Colleges (Engineering, Arts & Science Colleges including stand-alone Institutions) in Tamilnadu. Some Universities and Self-Financing Engineering Colleges may also opt to admit the candidates on the basis of marks obtained in TANCET 2014.

Duration of the Test: 2 Hours
Exam Fee:
Application form is common for all the three entrance tests. Candidates have to submit only one application. The candidates have to pay Rs 500/- ( Rs 250/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu on production of a copy of Permanent Community Certificate in card format) as entrance test fee for any one of the programmes either 1. M.B.A., or 2. M.C.A. or 3. M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch. / M.Plan.
If a candidate desires to appear for more than one Programme, for every additional programme, he/she has to pay Rs 500/- ( Rs 250/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu).

How to Apply:
The candidates can register for the entrance test in any one of the modes given below.
a. Registration in Person
Candidates can appear in person at the Co-ordinating Centres shown under item 5 with the following documents:
i) Copy of X Std. or equivalent mark sheet
ii) Copy of XII Std. mark sheet or 3 years Diploma certificate
iii) Entrance Test Fee in the form of cash (or) Demand Draft
iv) SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu have to produce a copy of the permanent community certificate (card format) for availing fee concession.
b. Internet Registration
Candidates can register through internet by filling-up the application form, downloading it and send it to the address shown under item 10 with the following documents:
i) Copy of X Std. or equivalent mark sheet
ii) Copy of XII Std. mark sheet or 3 years Diploma certificate
iii) Entrance Test Fee in the form of Demand Draft
iv) An attested copy of the permanent community certificate (card format) issued by the competent authority of Government of Tamilnadu (for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu).
